Canakkale Gulpinar yolu uzerinde Tavakli Iskesi'ne yaklasirken yolun sol tarafinda Ali Kaptann in restrorantinda; bu bolgeye ozgu salata ve meze cesitleriyle, kofte, tavuk, diger et urunleri ve ozelliklede mevsim baliklarini samimi bir ortamda denemenizi tavsiye ederiz.
Ali Kaptann restoranin deniz kiyisina yuruyus mesafesindeki agaclarin golgeledigi bahcesinde yazin yemek ve mangak keyfi; kisin sobasinin isittigi ic mekanda tadabileceginiz lezzetler sizi ve ailenizi memnun edecektir. As you come into Tavakli Iselesi the first building on your left is the home of Kaptann Ali, an experienced fisherman who has turned his hand to offering some of the best culinary delights that Tavakli has to offer.
Whether its the catch of the day and a fish menu that you are looking for, or something more traditional in the form of Kofte, grilled chicken or a barbecue, accompanied with salads, soups and a wide range of local cuisine, Ali Kaptann does not disappoint. With its indoor restaurant and outdoor seating the beach is literally just across the road. There is ample parking on the road nearby.
Next time you are in this neck of the woods, drop in and see what Ali Kaptann has to offer. Great food at keen prices by someone who is clearly out to impress.
This hotel commands a great location near the beach with relaxing atmosphere and superb surroundings. This really should be classed as a three star hotel rather than just a two star. The grounds and gardens of the hotel are beautiful and the beach is excellent. The hotel provides a good breakfast which is served from the beach restaurant.
The rooms are clean and tidy with balconies that overlook the gardens and the sea. They beds are comfortable and you have everything you need for your stay.
Suprisingly, considering that this is one of the cheaper regions of Turkey we were charged 50.000 tl for a light lunchtime snack at the restaurant. For what we had and by Turkish standards this is daylight robbery. I would recommend that you use the restaurant for breakfast purposes but eat elsewhere in the much more reasonable local establishments.
This is one of the best places to stay in Tavakli Iskelesi. Situated right on the beach this complex of holiday chalets or bungalows offers extremely good accommodation for a reasonable price. Holiday makers can choose from accommodation only or accommodation with full board.
There is ample off road parking. The gardens and patio lounge area are tastefully designed and well kept. The restaurant and bar area is one of the best chill out zones in this area. Overlooking the beach you need to see the beautiful sunsets to appreciate it at its best. We have dined here on more than one occasion and we are always pleased with the quality and cost of the cuisine. The chef is very good and knows how to please his guests. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
The manager Halil Bey really makes his customers feel special and also speaks extremely good English too. All the more reason to give this establishment consideration if you are an overseas visitor.
This hotel is located very close to main ferry terminal. You can actually see the sign on the hotel as the ferry comes into Eceabat. There is no off road parking but there is parking in the street by the hotel.
The hotel is very much geared towards visitors looking to go on battlefield tours of Gallipoli so many of the guests tend to be from commonwealth countries or Turkish. The main reception lobby and bar area is welcoming and friendly.
The rooms are fairly basic but they are clean and comfortable and the hotel does offer very good value for money. The breakfasts are very good too with a choice of cheeses, jams, bread, eggs and some very good Turkish tea.
This is a well run hotel and we would recommend it as good place to stay. Say G'day to Bill if he is around and look out for Sosis the town mascot dog.
Having booked this hotel in advance and having arrived late at night we were horrified to find out that they had not booked us in despite us having email confirmation of our paid in advance reservation. That said they did go some way towards making amends by arranging our accommodation elsewhere for the first night.
The Hotel Zileli is located near Kepez so it is about 3km or so from the centre of Canakkale. This is a fairly large and established family run hotel. The star rating awarded to it is fair and accurate.
The staff were helpful and friendly and our room was spacious, clean and well laid out. This is a comfortable place to stay if you are visiting Canakkale. There is plenty of parking. We did not stop for an evening meal but the breakfast was exceptionally good with a wide spread of choice between hot and cold self service buffet style layout.
Would I stay here again? Yes I would. There is nothing wrong with this hotel and we would recommend it.
Readers should be aware that there are two Parion Hotels now and some of the reviews here are mixed with the older hotel which is a five star hotel of a much better quality.
The hotel we stayed at is very central near the main Ferry Terminal. As a location this is in an excellent position. However, our booking came about as a result of a mix up with another hotel who were anxious to get us booked in somewhere.
We arrived at midnight. Reception consists of a desk in a small glass fronted lobby area. You have to lug your baggage up one flight of stairs to a mini elevator which then takes you to the required floor. Even then, those on the final floor have to lug their cases up another floor once again to reach their room.
Our room was on the roof and whilst OK in terms of general cleanliness but one of the pillow cases was not very clean. The room was stuffy and airless. When you opened the door to what should probably have been a balcony you find that the balcony exists but has been enclosed by a tin roof so there is absolutely no view whatsoever from this enclosed and stuffy little bunker.
Everything else in the hotel works well enough but we were pretty happy to vacate it in the morning and move to the hotel that we had booked. Breakfast was fairly mediocre by Turkish standards with some of the selection having run out and not been replaced even at 8:30 am in the morning.
This hotel does not really deserve the star rating that it has. It would not be my choice again if staying in Canakkale.
Situated by the best stretch of beach in Tavakli Iskelesi, Murat's place is both a cafe and restaurant. They also offer camping facilities and beach loungers. The cafe area is a good place to relax in the shade and order light refreshments or snacks.
There is also a store where you can buy provisions or ice cream etc. The beach itself is called the Halk Plaj or People's beach and is operated by the municipality. There are picnic tables and plenty of shade from the pine trees. You can also do a barbecue here. You can even drive onto the beach and park right up alongside your table! So, back to Murat's place.
Whilst on first glance it looks no more than a cafe there is actually a restaurant part too. Under cover and with a balcony area this is a great place to dine with family and friends. The costs are pretty reasonable but always check first since some dishes will be more expensive than others.
The meatballs ( kofte ) or sardines ( sardalya ) are especially good. The restaurant serves alcoholic too. The service friendly and the quality of the food is very good. Highly recommended!
Having stopped at this hotel before in the summer and knowing it was to a good standard I booked again for 5 days in December. This really is a good hotel. I was amazed that it was so quiet. I would have thought that people would have flocked here from Istanbul and Izmir for get away weekends and for short breaks.
If there are any ex pats reading this who want to get away from the city for a while then try this hotel. This is the real Turkey where people are very friendly and the countryside and beaches are unspoiled. In the middle of winter the rooms are well heated and everything functions as smoothly as in mid season.
My special thanks go to Ersin and Tuncay for their outstanding levels of service and friendly personalities and to Zafer the cook who conjured up the most amazing Turkish cuisine which was consistently good every time. What a great team. Thank you guys!
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It is right on the sandy beach, near to Ezine, in close proximity to some seriously interesting archaeological sites such as Troy and within easy day visit to Canakkale. Nearby lies the beautiful village of Assos ( Behramkale ) and a trip to Bayramic where the large reservoir dam and the surrounding countryside is of significant beauty is definitely not to be missed.
Kis sezonunda odalar iyi isitiliyor ve heresy yaz sezonunda oldugu gibi uyumlu bir sekilde isliyor. Ersin ve Tuncay’a gosterdikleri misafirperverliklerinden dolayi ozellikle tesekkur etmek isterim. Zafer sefin yemekleri her defasinda cok lezzetliydi. Cok iyi bir takim calismasi yaptiklarindan oturu onlari bir kere daha kutlumak isterim. Troas Beach Oteli herkese her sezon tavsiye ederim.
This is one of the most established hotels on the Tavakli Iskele coast road. It has recently had some fairly extensive renovation and changes to the restaurant area. The hotel is well maintained with its own pool and beautiful gardens.
It is right on a sandy beach. There is ample parking and friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very clean and well furnished. You know that you are in good hands here and when you book your reservation you can opt for full board. The restaurant facilties are excellent. The hotel has its own beach with loungers and a bar. You can get more information from their website which is in English and Turkish.
If you are passing through Ezine then be sure to stop off at Yanmazlar Restaurant which is situated along the main Ezine to Izmir highway just as you come out of town. Essentially an Opet service station you could be mistaken for thinking that this is fast food for the weary traveler when in fact the cuisine here is absolutely outstanding.
The staff here are friendly and attentive and clearly take pride in what they do. The establishment is exceptionally clean and hygienic and one look at the selection of well wrapped fresh meats in the display cabinet will give anyone peace of mind.
We have eaten here several times but I just noticed it got listed on trip advisor so I couldn't resist telling you about this place. Whatever you might order here the quality of the ingredients is second to none. Everything is fresh and cooked from scratch. If you are visiting in the morning then I highly recommend the breakfasts. Truly an authentic feast that will surprise you.
The mixed grill is one of my favourites for an evening meal. We have been here several times now and they never fail to live up to expectation. This is seriously good Turkish food at its best. They clearly have some expert chefs working here.
Most restaurants that are operated from service stations will struggle to reach the standards of this establishment. Situated in a brand new building in pleasant surroundings this is a great place to stop for a break and unlike many highway eateries this one is exceptional value for money.
I can't praise this place enough really. There are a couple of other good restaurants in Ezine which I will get round to writing about but this one is definitely worth a visit.
Ezine cikisinda Izmir yolu uzerinde mola vermek icin ideal bir restorant. Temiz ve duzenli ortami, lezzetli yemekleri, ilgili calisanlariyla servisinden biz cok memnun kaldik.
