French-based hotel group with a broad portfolio in Türkiye across economy (Ibis), mid-scale (Novotel, Mercure) and luxury (Fairmont, Raffles) segments.
We made the mistake of driving to the hotel which is very close to the main attractions in Istanbul. On the day we were travelling the police decided to shut down one of the main roads so the traffic was chaos. We had to negotiate our way up the hill from the Galata bridge side.
We phoned the hotel to ask about parking and they actually sent someone to us to guide us in. Your sat nav probably takes you to a road with a white barrier across it and you think that this is wrong. It isn’t. You need to enter this road and the hotel is actually at the end of it. They will park your car and look after it for you.
Although this is a small hotel it provides a big welcome. The reception lobby is small but comfortable and tastefully decorated. The Reception staff are absolutely amazing and they genuinely look after their guests.
Your room is clean and tidy and well laid out with everything you need for a comfortable stay. With herbal teas and a welcome aperitif the hotels provides good wardrobe facilities, a safe and TV which also has BBC news and foreign channels.
The bathroom is spotlessly clean with soaps and shampoos and bed is very comfortable. The location of this hotel is also very good. You are within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, the underground cistern and much more.
Istanbul is full of street hawkers, particularly the covered bazaar. They use every trick in the book to get your attention. Even the shoe shiners will drop one of their brushes and wait for you to pick it up and shout for them. Quick as a flash they will then be cleaning your shoes! Try and have a local with you when your are buying anything expensive as you can bet your bottom dollar that the handbags, carpets and leather jackets are twice the price the locals pay!
Breakfast at the Agora Life Hotel is excellent. They go out of their way to make sure that they provide a proper Turkish breakfast – and more! Everything is fresh and well prepared and again the hotel staff excel with their smiles and welcomes you just cannot fault it. This is a genuine family hotel run by people who actually care.
Don’t miss the terrace bar either. You get a stunning view of the Bosphorous bridge and the surrounding area. The hotel has a good Wi-Fi connection and routers on every floor. Important if you are on a business visit.
Would I stop here again? You bet I would. We had friends over from the UK and also had a business meeting but it was ideal for everyone. I strongly recommend this hotel and would like to say thank you to the staff for their professional expertise and warm welcome. The owner of this hotel can be very proud of what they have achieved here.

This is a good hotel in a central location by the metro. The hotel service is outstanding with staff very pleasant and friendly. The hotel is clean and the rooms are adequate for a short stay in Istanbul. The hotel is situated in Fatih and within a ten minute walk you can be at Hagia Sophie, Topkapi Palace, The Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar.

We stopped here for one night late in May. Having booked over the internet we had no idea what to expect. However, first impressions on arrival certainly confirmed that we had made the right choice.
This hotel is modern and well laid out. There is a spacious lobbly area with a bar and the Reception staff are very friendly and accommodating. Check in was a breeze and we were soon in our room on the second floor.
We paid around 250 tl which also included breakfast for two. There is ample secure parking on site. Included is also free Wi Fi. Our room was extremely spacious and large by most hotel standards. With a spacious balcony, very comfortable King size bed, tea and coffee facilities and a good size Samsung TV it was excellent value for money.
The bathroom has two wash basins and is also very spacious and modern. Everything works as it should. The air conditioning works particularly well and it is easy to set the temperature to your personal comfort level.
The breakfast room on the 5th floor is light and airy and with panoramic views. There is a very good selection of cheeses, bread, hot and cold meats and eggs, jam and cereals; something for all tastes in fact. This hotel really is a good choice for your stay in Edirne. It is not far from the city centre either. I would have no problem in recommending this establishment and would definitely stay here again.

The international Hilton chain operates multiple brands in Türkiye (from mid-scale to luxury) and is actively signing new properties in the country.
We stopped here for one night on our way to Edirne. An advanced booking for a double room cost 200 tl which is a little on the expensive side for the level of accommodation offered. Check in was straight forward and the room was clean and tidy. However. the bed, whilst comfortable enough, did not have a bed sheet cover, just a bedspread although there was a quilt in the wardrobe.
The hotel has clearly made an effort to upgrade what is or certainly looks like a fairly tired building. You get a reasonably good sized room with no frills, a small TV and a balcony. Fly screens fitted to the balcony door were a nice touch.
Our booking included breakfast for two and the breakfast was served on the terrace bar which is very pleasant with panoramic views of the seafront. Surprisingly for late May the hotel seemed pretty empty.
Parking is easy enough along the main road in front of the hotel. The staff here are pleasant and helpful. For a one night stop over this hotel is OK. There is a supermarket next door and the ferryboat terminal is within walking distance for those without transport.

Cesme is known as an up market resort and offers a good standard of accommodation generally. It is very European in its make up and infrastructure and you could be anywhere on the mediterranean really.
We went straight to the Cesme Ugulama Hotel but found it was closed for the winter renovations. They directed us to the nearby Kamera Hotel where we enquired about a double room for the night. The Reception area is well laid out and as soon as you walk in you get the impression that the staff here know how to run a hotel. It just looks very professional in every way. There is also ample parking outside and in the side road.
We paid 120 Turkish Lira ( £23.46 ) for what we thought was a double room with breakfast for two included in that price. What we got was a suite, complete with hallway, lounge and bedroom with a spacious bathroom. The quality of the build, the attention to detail of the fixtures and fittings and the actual buildings which formed part of the complex was of a very high quality.
The heating was more than adequate ( it was very cold outside when we stayed ) and the beds comfortable. The accommodation has a TV, kitchenette and tea and coffee services. This really was excellent value for money.
The staff here are very helpful and friendly. The Wifi works fine and the breakfast in the morning consisted of a good selection of Turkish breakfast cheeses, breads and salad, egg and jams etc with coffee, tea or fruit juices.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. If you are staying in Cesme and have your own transport then this is for you. Although this hotel is not right by the sea and a little out on a limb at first glance it more than makes up for it in every other way.#Cok Begendik. Cok guzel bir otel. Personel 5 yildiz, hotel 5 yildiz, hersey harika. Tavsiye ederiz. Cok tesekkur ederiz.
