Tuz Gölü





Tuz Gölü ( Salt Lake ) in Nevşehir, is the second largest lake in Turkey after Lake Van in the east. The lake is one of the saltiest in the world and contains 32% salt content. This lake provides 40% of Turkey’s salt needs. Situated near Aksaray it is just 2 hours from Ankara. There is a small complex with a cafe and shops where you can buy salt from this lake. Wear your sunglasses as the reflection off the white surface might be too much of a glare for your eyes.
