Balıklıova

Balıklıova is a small village between Urla and Karaburun, in the Urla district, İzmir Province of Turkey. The meaning of the word Balıklıova comes from a “valley full of fish”. Particularly during summer time Balıklıova has so many inhabitants.

As you travel down the coast road from Ilica, Cesme towards Izmir you come across a T Junction. To the left is the road to Karaburun and to the right the road to Izmir. If you missed it look behind you and on the hillside you will see an abandoned old Greek village.
