The altar is located on a mountain overlooking the Aegean coast near Altinoluk – Edremit. It is said that Zeus watched the Trojan war from here. It is quite a long walk of around 800m to the altar and the altar itself is basically just a big stone platform but the views are spectacular.
Sunak, Altınoluk – Edremit yakınlarında, Ege kıyısını gören bir dağın üzerinde yer almaktadır. Rivayete göre Zeus, buradan Truva Savaşı’nı izlemiş. Sunak’a yürüyüş yaklaşık 800 metre kadar sürer ve sunak aslında büyük bir taş platformdan ibarettir, ancak manzarası muhteşemdir.
