A good Turkish breakfast is the very reason to get up out of bed every morning. Traditional breakfasts in Turkey are legendary. Combining the very best of fresh produce and Turkish cooking the breakfasts are healthy and satisfying.
A classical Turkish breakfast will almost certainly have green and / or black olives. There will be cucumbers, tomatoes and fresh vegetable produce which is served with cheeses, eggs and freshly baked bread. Accompanied by butter, jams and honey and if you a are lucky some sucuk ( dry, spicy and fermented sausage ) and sigara börek ( a fried Turkish spring roll, typically stuffed with feta cheese and deep fried ).
Finally, a nice glass of Turkish tea!
