Mudanya is both a town and district in the province of Bursa. The town sprawls along the coast and its claim to fame is the fact that the signing of the Armistice took place here between Turkey, Britain, Italy, and France in 1922. It is situated on the Gulf of Gemlik.
The town has a harbour area and some grand restored Ottoman buildings. These restored buildings act as popular scene backdrops for photographers and wedding parties. The Mudanya Armistice House Museum is worth visiting and this is a picturesque town where you can easily spend a day. There are some good restaurants, cafe bars and hotels.
Mudanya, Bursa iline bağlı hem bir ilçe hem de bir sahil kasabasıdır. Kasaba, Gemlik Körfezi kıyısı boyunca uzanır ve en çok 1922 yılında Türkiye, Britanya, İtalya ve Fransa arasında imzalanan Mudanya Mütarekesi ile tanınır.
Kasabanın sahil kesiminde bir liman bölgesi ve restore edilmiş görkemli Osmanlı dönemi binaları bulunur. Bu yapılar, günümüzde fotoğrafçılar ve düğün çekimleri için popüler sahneler olarak kullanılmaktadır. Mudanya Mütareke Evi Müzesi kesinlikle görülmeye değerdir. Bu şirin ve fotojenik kasaba, bir günü rahatlıkla geçirebileceğiniz keyifli bir yerdir. Bölgede iyi restoranlar, kafe-barlar ve oteller bulunmaktadır.
